Japan Restaurant Sales Up 13.5 Pct in April

   Tokyo, May 25 (Jiji Press)--Restaurant sales in Japan in April rose 13.5 pct from a year before, up for the fifth straight month, as customer traffic recovered after the government fully lifted its COVID-19 pre-emergency measures in late March, the Japan Food Service Association said Wednesday.
   But sales were down 8.1 pct from April 2019, before the pandemic.
