Japan Regional Banks Log 23 Pct Annual Profit Growth
Tokyo, May 27 (Jiji Press)--The combined unconsolidated net profit of 99 Japanese regional banks rose 23.1 pct in the year ended in March from the previous year.
Nearly 80 pct of them reported higher profit or swung to profit as credit costs, including loan-loss reserves that had swelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, dropped.
