Toyota to Make Additional Production Cut in June

   Tokyo, June 16 (Jiji Press)--Toyota Motor Corp. <7203> said Thursday it will make an additional cut in vehicle production in Japan in June due to parts shortages partly caused by a COVID-19 outbreak at an overseas supplier.
   The move will bring the Japanese automaker's global production down to 750,000 units this month, compared with its initial plan for 950,000 units.
