INTERVIEW: Shiseido to Step Up Efforts to Nurture Female Managers

   Tokyo, Sept. 21 (Jiji Press)--Shiseido Co. <4911> plans to enhance its efforts to nurture female candidates for managerial posts, Masahiko Uotani, president and CEO of the Japanese cosmetics maker, said in a recent interview.
   The company will help female workers have concrete visions of serving in such positions, in efforts to meet its goal of raising the proportion of women in managerial posts to 50 pct by 2030, against 37.3 pct as of the beginning of this year, according to Uotani.
