Japan Convenience Stores Boosting Quick Delivery Services

   Tokyo, July 4 (Jiji Press)--Japanese convenience store chains are strengthening their "quick commerce" swift delivery services to meet the demands of time efficiency-conscious youths and elderly people who find it difficult to go shopping by car or on foot.
   The chains hope to boost consumer recognition of the services, in which foods cooked in-store such as pizza and fried chicken are delivered in as little as 15 to 20 minutes after orders, ahead of an expected jump in demand from people who watch the Paris Olympic Games at their homes.
