INTERVIEW: Dai-ichi Life Not to Raise Promised Yields

   Tokyo, Jan. 8 (Jiji Press)--Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co. will not raise the yields on its insurance products promised to policyholders, although rivals have raised such yields amid higher interest rates, President Toshiaki Sumino said in a recent interview.
   "We have no intention of joining the race to raise yields," Sumino said, pointing to the importance of maintaining capital discipline.
