Toyota's Global Vehicle Sales Fall 1.4 Pct in 2024
Tokyo, Jan. 30 (Jiji Press)--Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday that its global vehicle sales dipped 1.4 pct in 2024 from the previous year to 10,159,336 units due to the fallout of a test fraud scandal and a pause in the production of its Prius hybrid.
The Japanese automaker saw its domestic vehicle sales plunge 13.8 pct to 1,441,842 units as its domestic production dropped 7.2 pct to 3,128,351 units because of those problems.
