Safe Deposit Box Thefts Found at Mizuho Bank
Tokyo, Feb. 18 (Jiji Press)--A former employee at Mizuho Bank had stolen several tens of millions of yen in assets from two customers' safe deposit boxes several years ago, people familiar with the matter said Tuesday.
The Japanese bank has already reported the thefts, which came to light in 2019, to the Financial Services Agency and taken disciplinary action against the former employee, the people said.
