Tokyo Stocks Plummet on U.S.-China Trade War Escalation

   Tokyo, Aug. 26 (Jiji Press)--Stocks suffered a broad sell-off on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Monday, with investor sentiment battered by an escalation of the U.S.-China trade war.
   The 225-issue Nikkei average dived 449.87 points, or 2.17 pct, to end at 20,261.04, the lowest finish since Jan. 10. On Friday, the key market gauge gained 82.90 points.
