Nikkei Ends above 24,000 for 1st Time in 1 Month

   Tokyo, Jan. 14 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo stocks climbed for the third consecutive session Tuesday thanks to Wall Street advance and the yen's drop against the dollar, allowing the benchmark Nikkei average to retake 24,000 at the closing for the first time in a month.
   The Nikkei average of 225 selected issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange jumped 174.60 points, or 0.73 pct, to end at 24,025.17 after gaining 110.70 points Friday. The Nikkei last ended above the psychologically important threshold on Dec. 17. The Tokyo market was closed Monday for a national holiday.
