Nikkei Rebounds amid Speculation about Buying by BOJ, Funds

   Tokyo, March 23 (Jiji Press)--The benchmark Nikkei stock average turned sharply higher Monday, as investors moved to buy back stocks battered in the recent sell-off taking a cue from speculation about active purchases by the Bank of Japan and pension funds.
   The Nikkei average of 225 selected issues listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange jumped 334.95 points, or 2.02 pct, to end at 16,887.78, On Thursday, the key market gauge fell 173.72 points. The market was closed Friday for a national holiday.
