Dollar Firms above 103.30 Yen in Tokyo
Tokyo, Jan. 7 (Jiji Press)--The dollar firmed to around 103.30 yen in Tokyo trading Thursday, aided by rises in the benchmark Nikkei stock average and U.S. long-term interest rates.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 103.36-36 yen, up from 102.76-76 yen at the same time on Wednesday. The euro was at 1.2311-2311 dollars, down from 1.2338-2339 dollars, and at 127.25-26 yen, up from 126.79-79 yen.
