Tokyo Stocks Likely to Extend Losses Next Week

   Tokyo, Jan. 14 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo stocks may lose further ground next week, with investor concerns over, among others, the spread of the omicron coronavirus variant unlikely to be eased, market sources said.
   This week, the Nikkei average of 225 selected issues listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's first section dropped 354.28 points, or 1.24 pct, to end at 28,124.28. The market was closed Monday for a national holiday.
