Tokyo Stocks Climb on Hopes for Economic Reopening

   Tokyo, May 23 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo stocks gained further ground on Monday, supported by hopes for the resumption of economic activity as Japan plans to drastically ease COVID-19 border controls.
   The Nikkei average of 225 selected issues listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Prime market rose 262.49 points, or 0.98 pct, to finish at 27,001.52, after climbing 336.19 points Friday.
