Tokyo Stocks Tumble in Morning on Recession Fears

   Tokyo, June 17 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo stocks plummeted Friday morning amid mounting fears of a global recession, with the benchmark Nikkei stock average slipping through 26,000 for the first time in about a month.
   The Nikkei average of 225 selected issues listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Prime section lost 572.70 points, or 2.17 pct, from Thursday's closing to finish the morning session at 25,858.50.
