Dollar Edges Up to around 143.50 yen in Tokyo

   Tokyo, Sept. 20 (Jiji Press)--The dollar crept up to around 143.50 yen in Tokyo trading Tuesday, following a rise in U.S. long-term interest rates.
   At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 143.46-47 yen, up slightly from 143.45-45 yen at the same time Friday. The euro was at 1.0034-0035 dollars, up from 0.9956-9957 dollar, and at 143.96-98 yen, up from 142.82-84 yen. Japanese financial markets were closed Monday for a national holiday.
