Nikkei Extends Gains on Continued Chip Buying

   Tokyo, May 26 (Jiji Press)--The benchmark Nikkei stock average gained further ground Friday, aided by the continued popularity of semiconductor-related issues.
   The Nikkei average of 225 selected issues listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Prime section grew 115.18 points, or 0.37 pct, to finish at 30,916.31, after advancing 118.45 points Thursday.
