Dollar Briefly Tops 140 Yen in Tokyo

   Tokyo, May 26 (Jiji Press)--The dollar briefly topped 140 yen to mark the highest level in about six months in Tokyo trading Friday, before falling back below the threshold.
   At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 139.53-53 yen, still up from 139.38-40 yen at the same time Thursday. The euro was at 1.0740-0740 dollars, up from 1.0721-0721 dollars, and at 149.86-87 yen, up from 149.44-45 yen.
