BYD (Build Your Dreams) said it will integrate DeepSeek with its Xuanji vehicle software to enhance AI capabilities.

The Shenzhen-based firm plans to add the famous AI model to at least 21 models, including the Seagull hatchback ($9,575 or ₱898,000).

DeepSeek will also improve BYD’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which allows cars to navigate highways and park autonomously.

AI News says the AI firm will integrate its model with e-scooters from Segway-Ninebot Group and Niu Technologies.

Ninebot specified AI-powered upgrades like data analytics, personalized recommendations, and intelligent services to riders.

Niu Technologies plans to use DeepSeek for the following features:

  • Driver assistance systems

  • Riding safety features

  • AI-powered travel companions

  • Voice interaction

  • Intelligent service recommendations

Yadea Group, the world’s largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer by sales, will also add the wildly popular model to its vehicles.

DeepSeek took the AI world by storm with its open-source model that rivals top names like ChatGPT.

Zhang Yongwei, general secretary of China EV100, predicts that roughly 15 million cars in China will have self-driving systems by 2025.

It’s also been expanding overseas, as BYD vehicles are now available in the Philippines.
