The United States was the single biggest source of remittances in the first two months of the year.

MANILA, Philippines - Money sent home by Filipinos abroad posted a slower growth in February, latest data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed.

Cash remittances grew by 2.7 percent to $2.72 billion in the second month of the year.

This growth, however, was slower than the 2.9 percent expansion seen in January.

In the first two months of 2025, remittances amounted to $5.63 billion, up by 2.8 percent.
