Thai Meteorological Department warns Bangkokians of tremors

Provided by Nation.

The Thai Meteorological Department warned Bangkokians to be cautious of tremors that could occur in tall buildings on Monday.

The announcement came after a recent aftershock centred in Myanmar, causing people in high-rise buildings to feel tremors today.

However, the department confirmed that the Myanmar aftershock had no impact on Thailand.

The incident stemmed from the main earthquake last week, which resulted in significant loss of life, injuries, and widespread destruction, particularly in Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and surrounding areas.
