Fukui Bank to Take Equity Stake in Fukuho Bank

   Tokyo, Jan. 14 (Jiji Press)--Fukui Bank <8362> said Thursday that it will form a capital tie-up with Fukuho Bank, in a bid to further strengthen their cooperation to maintain regional financial services.
   Fukui Bank will acquire 5 billion yen of new shares to be issued by Fukuho Bank under a third-party allotment scheme. The two banks, both based in the central Japan city of Fukui, aim to conclude the final contract on the deal in mid-May.
