Baseball Team Hiroshima Carp Opens Limited-Time Store in S'pore

   Singapore, July 22 (Jiji Press)--Japanese professional baseball team Hiroshima Toyo Carp has opened a limited-time official store in Singapore to sell merchandise and promote Hiroshima Prefecture, where the team is based.
   The team's first official store abroad opened on Saturday inside the flagship store of the Muji household goods brand. It will operate until the end of August.
   The store sells not only merchandise such as uniforms, caps and cheering goods but also signature products of Hiroshima. It will provide tourist information as well.
   Commemorative uniforms with "Singapore" and "60" printed on the back to mark the 60th anniversary of Singapore's founding on Aug. 9 are available in limited quantities, along with collaboration T-shirts featuring the team's official character Carp Boya and Singapore's icon Merlion.
   Many customers visited the store on the opening day, although baseball is not a popular sport in Singapore and Hiroshima Carp is not widely known.
