Japan Retailers, Restaurants Cut Prices to Lure Customers

   Tokyo, Oct. 22 (Jiji Press)--Retailers and restaurant chains in Japan are rushing to lower prices for their products to attract consumers who are increasingly thrifty due to prolonged inflation.
   They are reducing prices by making production and logistics efficient as consumers spare no expense for travel and special occasions but cut back on living expenses amid a slump in real wages.
