“Make Japan your Second Home.” Looking for STARS KOBE SUPPORTERS!

KOBE, Japan--( BUSINESS WIRE )-- We are looking for supporters who we can share our passions with and can be a witness of a new chapter of the ice hockey club from Kobe. Be a proud supporter, call STARS KOBE as "my club," and get to know future talents. With our special programs, you come across the unique experiences, and we assure you feel at home when visiting us in Japan.

Japan has a professional ice hockey league called “Asia League Ice Hockey”, consisting of five teams from both Japan and South Korea. STARS KOBE is on call to make an entry to the league as the sixth team. As one of the conditions to become a member of the league, we need to clear financial requirements.

The Hanshin area (encompassing the cities of Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto and their surrounding areas) has about 2,000 skaters and has been developing a top-class skating environment in recent years. However, there is no professional ice hockey clubs as of yet.

STARS KOBE set the following goals as a professional club;

1. To be a role model for junior ice hockey players.
2. To broaden the horizon of Japanese ice hockey players.
3. To raise world-class talents who aim to become NHL player.

In Japan, we must confess that ice hockey is less popular than baseball or soccer. For this reason, fund raising to establish a new professional ice hockey club does not get enough attention. This is why we are here.

It is our belief that nothing hinders Japanese ice hockey players from becoming a world-class NHL player, just as baseball (MLB), soccer, or basketball (NBA), if a right environment and opportunities are provided. We are looking to obtain your support, to establish a professional ice hockey club in western Japan, and give children the opportunity to boldly pursue ice hockey.

  STARS KOBE was founded in 1994 as an adult ice hockey club by locals. The club has been active throughout 30 years since then, and managed to overcome the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. In May 2024, former members jointly sponsored to incorporate the club and provided an approval to use the name "STARS KOBE". The club is now knocking the door of the Asian League Ice Hockey.
