'Usukibina' Paper Hina Dolls from Oita Prefecture


     'Usukibina' dolls were reproduced based on the historical fact that the local lord in Usuki, now part of Oita Prefecture, only allowed the display of paper-made hina dolls under a belt-tightening policy in the final decades of the Edo Period.
