Hina Dolls from Tateyamasyoten, Tea Producer-Retailer Founded in Meiji Period in Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto Prefecture

     Standing beside the hina doll set is a 'Shunnamejo' tree with branches holding rice cakes to pray for abundant crop and good luck. Shunnamejo is a traditional custom in the southeastern Kumamoto region, including Hitoyoshi.
