Japan's Coincident Index Down 0.1 Point in May

   Tokyo, July 7 (Jiji Press)--Japan's composite index of coincident economic indicators fell 0.1 point in May from the previous month, the Cabinet Office said in a preliminary report on Monday.
   The Cabinet Office lowered its view on the coincident index, which reflects current economic conditions, saying it is "worsening." The agency used the phrase "worsening" for the first time since July 2020.
   The index stood at 115.9 against the 2020 base of 100.
