INTERVIEW: Nissan Looking beyond Auto Sector to Find Partner

   Atsugi, Kanagawa Pref., March 26 (Jiji Press)--Nissan Motor Co. will seek a new partnership even with a firm outside the auto industry following the breakdown of merger talks with Honda Motor Co., incoming Nissan President Ivan Espinosa said in a recent interview.
   Noting that the industry is undergoing major structural reforms that require a lot of investment, Espinosa, Nissan's chief planning officer set to assume the presidency Tuesday, stressed he is open to picking a partner, whether it is Honda or a nonautomaker.
