Air New Zealand's 1st 787-9 Takes Off from Paine Field in Everett on Delivery Flight for Auckland

The aircraft carried about 50 company executives and reporters from Australia, Japan and China on the delivery flight to Auckland that took 13 and a half hours. Because where New Zealand is, the fact that they (New Zealanders) are very far from any cities they need to connect, they really need this great range, Mark Jenks, Boeing Vice President of 787 Development, said in an interview during the flight.
