Japan's Job Availability Ratio Flat at 1.25 in Nov.

Tokyo, Dec. 27 (Jiji Press)--Japan's seasonally adjusted ratio of effective job openings to seekers in November stood at 1.25, unchanged from the previous month, the labor ministry said Friday.
While the number of job seekers grew as many households were hit by higher consumer prices, companies facing labor shortages increased their job openings.
The ratio represents the number of jobs available to each applicant at Hello Work public job placement centers across Japan.
In November, the number of effective job seekers was up 0.6 pct at 1.92 million, and that of effective job openings increased 0.7 pct to 2.4 million.
By prefecture, the job availability ratio was highest in Fukui, at 1.91, and lowest in Hokkaido, at 1.05.
