Dollar Briefly Nears 147.90 Yen in Tokyo
Tokyo, Sept. 7 (Jiji Press)--The dollar rose close to 147.90 yen at one point in Tokyo trading Thursday, before losing steam amid intervention worries.
At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 147.44-44 yen, up from 147.36-38 yen at the same time Wednesday. The euro was at 1.0715-0715 dollars, down from 1.0728-0728 dollars, and at 157.98-99 yen, down from 158.11-13 yen.
