Dollar Goes Down to around 146.60 Yen in Tokyo

   Tokyo, Sept. 8 (Jiji Press)--The dollar briefly weakened to around 146.60 yen in Tokyo trading Friday, in the wake of the Nikkei stock average's plunge and U.S. long-term interest rates' drop.
   At 5 p.m., the dollar stood at 147.39-40 yen, down from 147.44-44 yen at the same time Thursday. The euro was at 1.0708-0709 dollars, down from 1.0715-0715 dollars, and at 157.83-85 yen, down from 157.98-99 yen.
