Japan Big Makers' Sentiment Improves: BOJ Survey

   Tokyo, July 1 (Jiji Press)--Business sentiment among large manufacturers in Japan improved for the first time in two quarters, the Bank of Japan's "tankan" survey for June showed Monday.
   The headline diffusion index for large manufacturers' current business conditions stood at plus 13, up 2 points from the previous March survey, the central bank said.
   The index for large nonmanufacturers fell to plus 33, its first decline in 16 quarters.
   The index represents the percentage of companies seeing good business conditions minus that of those feeling the opposite.
