MANILA, Philippines — Seven Filipinos were injured after Iran launched missile attacks against Israel, the Philippine embassy in Tel Aviv reported.

In its data released on Thursday, the embassy said their data as of June 18 showed that five of the seven Filipinos injured have already been discharged.

The embassy’s data also showed that one remains in critical condition, while the other is in moderate condition.

Meanwhile, the embassy revealed that 67 Filipinos lost their homes due to the conflict.

The government’s data showed that there are over 30,000 Filipinos in Israel. From October 7, 2023, to June 12, 2025, a total of 1,333 individuals were repatriated. At present, there are still 178 pending requests for repatriation. Of this number, 26 are scheduled to be repatriated but no schedule has been disclosed yet.

Earlier, the Philippine government expressed grave concern over heightened tensions in the Middle East following Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, calling for deescalation and peace.

“With the welfare of the people of the Middle East and the Filipinos there in mind, the Philippines urges concerned countries to deescalate and follow the path of peace,” said the Philippine government through the Department of Foreign Affairs then.

Israel carried out strikes against Iran on June 13, targeting its nuclear and military sites, after US President Donald Trump warned of a possible “massive conflict” in the region.

Israel’s operation struck at the “heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme,” taking aim at the atomic facility in Natanz and nuclear scientists, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. /jpv
