Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has cancelled her planned visit to Belgium from June 29 to July 4, as she focuses on managing the domestic political situation.

A source from the Government House revealed that due to the current political climate, Paetongtarn has adjusted her schedule for the final week of the month. This includes postponing the official Cabinet meeting and government inspections in Phitsanulok province, originally scheduled for June 23-24. Furthermore, her official visit to Belgium has now been called off, with coordination already made with the Belgian government to notify them of the change.

The source added that beyond the escalating political tensions surrounding the Thai-Cambodian border issue and the leaked audio clip of a conversation between the Prime Minister and former Cambodian leader Hun Sen, another key factor is the impending Cabinet reshuffle.Paetongtarn must coordinate with the Pheu Thai Party and coalition partners over the allocation of ministerial positions. As a result, the Prime Minister decided to delay the trip to allow for greater political clarity.
