Thoeng Hospital suspends services due to flooding, emergency care relocated

Provided by Nation.

Thoeng Hospital in Chiang Rai has temporarily suspended operations following severe flooding triggered by Tropical Storm Wipha, with only emergency and accident cases currently being treated at an alternative site.

In an urgent announcement on Wednesday (July 23), the hospital said rising floodwaters had surrounded its premises, cutting off access and disrupting medical services.

According to the statement:

Accident and emergency patients are now being treated at a temporary facility at Wat Phra Si Mahapho Temple. Hospital transport is available for patient pickup and transfers.
General outpatients are advised to visit their nearest Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital (SHPH) until further notice.

Thoeng Hospital apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding. Further updates will be issued once the situation improves.
